Right now an army of banking lobbyists is running a multi-million dollar effort to water down the reforms that would help protect you against the fat cats that got us into this financial mess.

And unless we fight back, they might just succeed.

Your senators are home for spring recess this week, and we need them to get the real story from constituents like you. A letter to the editor is one of the most effective ways to get your senator's attention.

Will you write your letter to the editor today? I just sent my own letter, and to help get you started, I've included a list of talking points I used to write mine.

Here's what's at stake: Right now, the Senate is considering legislation that would put in place new rules of the road that rein in the reckless behavior of big banks and crack down on the abusive and deceptive practices used by credit card companies.

Just months ago, your emails and calls helped us pass these reforms through the House. But Wall Street lobbyists are fighting tooth and nail to protect the bonuses, loopholes, and sweetheart deals that many financial predators still enjoy while millions of Americans lose their jobs and savings.

Big banks, credit card companies, and mortgage lenders must be held accountable. But it's up to us to make it happen.

Put your outrage in print and demand to know whose side your senator is on – yours or the big banks who got us into this mess. Write your letter today.

To the people that say "It's the end of our Country as we know it" I fear you may know very little of American history and it's resilience. Case in point, our Country was nearly bankrupt during the revolutionary war until France lent us the funds along with troops and in the end followed up with their Navy to defeat Cornwallis at Yorktown on nothing but good faith and the promise of our determination and a will to be a sovereign Nation. America guided by it's Founders, fought by the Father of the Country General George Washington and backed by the the heart, mind, blood and tears of countless American souls yearning to be free, prevailed.

During the civil war our Country "the great experiment" was on the brink of catastrophe and on the verge of collapse but even after 600,000 of our own perished at the hands of our own along with the assassination of Abraham Lincoln arguably one of the greatest Presidents since GeorgeGeorge Washington the Union persevered and survived.

The truth is that NOTHING we are going though today domestically can even compare to what our fellow Americans have suffered throughout our Nation's history. From the birth of our Nation, the Civil War, Womans right to vote, the Great Depression, two World Wars, Korea, Viet Nam, Civil Rights Legislation to the present Iraq and Afghanistan Wars.

Our Forefathers purposely and properly set up our system of government to be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of it's citizens in the present while allowing for the inevitable and at times necessary changes to meet the needs of the future, this is why the Constitution is referred to as a "Living Document."

So to all the people that proclaim with all sincerity at times and the majority with well intent "we need to follow and honor the Constitution" I say to you as long as all realize that we are in this together and we can disagree without declaring war on each other as we move towards an uncertain future, we are in fact showing due respect to our past, honoring our Country and following our Constitution.

The Constitution is like an architectural plan; while there are areas that can be modified, the foundation of the structure needs to be kept intact, and any additions which violate the integrity of the foundation need to be changed to accommodate them.

Got to kinda wonder what's going on with you-tube; they used to let you link a video and share some of the beauty of the the videos some great music and things you can learn just by turning in. like the Hubble telescope and the size of our universe the stars and planets and tips to keep us safe from carbon monoxide poisoning. the scourge of drinking and driving and the consequences of doing that . and you could take a trip to outer Mongolia for that matter with out leaving the comfort of your chair. but now for some reason they won't let you do that any more it's kinda sad that in order to see these videos you have to get on youtube your self . but if your are into astronomy i will recommend a few sites for you like www.astronomy.com and stumbing.com as well as google .com hope you get this fixed soon .

The idea behind alterate fuels isn't to supitute one poison for another the use of oils into gasoline produces both carbon dioxide and monoxide both of them have effect on our world; but burning methinol or other alcahols could have larger impications by producing larger amounts of carbon monoxide witct is more stable and poisonus to us would not be in our best interest unless we can come up with a way to break the bond between the carbon and oxegen or add to produce the dioxide and trap it or compress it into a liquid form that would be used in industry or stored safely but trading poisons isn't what we should be about ; we need to use caution in what we use a fuel before we wreck this planet beyond repair.look up alcohols at wikapedia.com and carbon monoxibe on you tube. it will give you more information on gobal warming as well and you can google it too.
