When the dust settles after election night, we'll wake up to one of two realities.

Democrats in Congress could return to Washington to continue moving America forward.

Or this fall's crop of extremist Republican candidates could be in charge, unafraid to shut down the government or jam up the gears of progress.

We have 28 days until Election Day -- and the reality we'll face the morning of November 3rd is still in our hands.

If you want to have a say in that outcome, join other OFA supporters in making calls to voters using our newly revamped call tool.

We have an ambitious goal -- reach out to voters 15 million times before the elections -- but this is what it takes to ensure Democrats keep fighting for change.

Use our new call tool to reach out to 10 voters today?

Thousands of OFA volunteers and organizers are already making calls all around the country -- but we can't sit on the sidelines and hope their work is enough.

We've incorporated the latest technology into our call tool to make it as easy as possible for you to jump right in. You'll be given a customized list of voters in your area who most need to hear from you, and guidance on what to say to make it even easier. Never before have we been able to reach voters so quickly and so effectively.

We've seen it time and time again -- these calls have a real impact on the outcomes of elections. In several tight races in 2008, they were the difference between winning and losing.

In a little more than four weeks, voters across the country will collectively decide the direction our country is going to take -- and the one-on-one conversations we're having right now will have a direct effect on the decision they make.

Just try it -- you don't want to wait until the last minute to try to make a difference:

This fall's elections are in your control -- step up and start talking to voters in your area today.

Thanks,

Natalie

Arnold --

I've always said that 2008 was an amazing journey. But nothing from that election struck me more than seeing so many giving their time and lending their voices because they were ready for change.

Two years ago, in state after state -- no matter where I went -- I saw grandmothers out canvassing, college kids traveling to swing states and sleeping on gymnasium floors, and people using their lunch breaks to make a few more calls. So many got involved for the very first time, each one bringing others along with them.

It was inspiring to witness.

Now, Barack and I need you to help show that energy again. Because this is such a critical moment, a group of grassroots donors are ready to match any contribution you can give.

Across the country, teachers and firefighters, truckers and nurses have made pledges of support hoping to inspire you to take the next step. Because of them, a $3 contribution will become $6.

Donate today and answer your fellow supporter's pledge to match whatever you can give.

Here's how it works:

-- You choose the amount you are able to give and another supporter willing to match that amount doubles it.

-- You can choose to write a note to the individual who matched your donation and tell them why you decided to own a piece of this movement.

Since the day Barack announced his plan to run for office, supporters like you have made everything we've achieved possible.

That's as true now as it was on Election Day in 2008.

You're the reason we reformed a health care system that was broken, progress that means so much to so many. You're the reason we reined in Wall Street banks that were out of control.

But Barack can't keep making progress without strong allies in Congress. And now the same people who've opposed us at every turn are targeting the folks who voted to make change real. They think we can't do it again.

But they're wrong.

If the folks who I saw in 2008 -- those of you who packed up your bags and slept on floors and made calls and talked to voters day after day -- are ready to stand with us again, then I'm ready for any challenge that lies ahead.

That's why we're asking you to help grow this movement once again.

The plan for this election is based on the lessons we learned two years ago. Our organizers and volunteers are knocking on doors every weekend, making calls every night. Your support will help to fund this work.

Another supporter is asking you to join them today -- and has pledged to match whatever you can give.

Please donate $3 or more to help grow this movement before November 2nd:

https://donate.barackobama.com/MichelleMatch

Thank you,

Michelle Obama

Full ViewWatch the debate tonight!...From:"Michael J. Moore, Bill WhiteBill White for Texas" ...View ContactTo:Arnold Schwertman www.BillWhiteForTexas.com

Dear Arnold,

I wanted to make sure you knew about tonight's debate with Bill White, Kathie Glass and Deb Shafto. The debate is going to be streamed online from 7 p.m. - 8 p.m., and you can watch it here.

Over the past few months, Bill has been attending forums with Kathie Glass. In these final few weeks before the election, Bill will continue to talk about the issues that matter most to Texans and answer important questions. Twenty-five year incumbent Governor Rick PerryRick Perry will be noticeably absent as he continues to hide from questions about his record.

Perry's handlers don't want him to answer tough questions after several weeks of gaffes and flip-flops, like when he referenced an "Ouija board" and a "crystal ball" while talking about measuring the size of Texas' budget hole projected between $18 and $21 billion. They are desperately hoping he can hide the truth and run out the clock until after the election. They are hoping that negative ads and smear tactics will hide Perry's education failures: the high school dropout crisis, tuition rates that have climbed 93% under his watch and a curriculum that fails students by merely teaching to the test.

We've got news for Rick Perry: Texans are ready to move our state forward and have had enough of a governor who's in it for himself.

We hope you'll join us for tonight's debate to hear directly from Bill. Click here for details and to watch it online.

Thank you for everything you've done and continue to do to bring new leadership to Texas.

Sincerely,

Michael J. Moore

Campaign Manager

Bill White for Texas

P.S. Bill White received the endorsement of the Austin-American Statesman this morning saying it was "time for a change." Click here to read the endorsement.

Sincerely,

Michael J. Moore

Full ViewDEADLINE EXTENDED: Last chance to help protect your benefits

Dear Arnold,

Our activists know how critical it is to protect Social Security – and with their help, we met our goal of 2,500 new donors by September 30th!

But the Fiscal Commission met again on Wednesday, and it's clear Social Security could still be targeted for unfair cuts. So we've extended our deadline until midnight Sunday to give you one last chance to make sure we have the resources we need to protect Social Security.

Arnold, please do your part to protect Social Security from budget-driven cuts by giving $5 by MIDNIGHT on Sunday.

Social Security is a sacred promise to Americans of every generation.

It asks every one of us to contribute our hard-earned wages, with the promise that we'll receive our benefits when the time comes.

It helps millions of older Americans meet their basic needs.

It's a separate self-funded program that hasn't contributed one penny to the federal deficit.

But with the Fiscal Commission poised to recommend cuts to your benefits and Social Security's opponents busy spreading misinformation, it will take all of us pitching in to ensure that Congress protects Social Security.

With your help, we can ramp up our campaign even further – don't wait any longer to donate.

We all agree that the deficit must be brought under control. But with your help by midnight on Sunday, we'll make sure Washington focuses on the real problem areas, like wasteful spending, including pork barrel projects and earmarks, and doesn't target Social Security.

Thank you for your commitment and your generosity.

Sincerely,

Barry Jackson
Senior Manager, Grassroots

Arnold --

According to our records, you live in Texas -- and there's a crucial deadline approaching there. You have just three days left to register to vote -- your registration must be postmarked by this Monday, October 4th.

If there has been any change in your status or eligibility since the last election -- did you move? change your name? turn 18? -- you likely need to register in order to cast a ballot this fall.

We've got all the information you'll need about how to register at our voting information site, www.RaiseYourVote.com.

Registering is a very easy process -- but it's absolutely essential that you do it by Monday, October 4th, in order to cast your vote this year.

Confirm your eligibility to vote, and register if you haven't yet done so:

Thanks,

Jeremy

arnold --

Midnight tonight is a crucial quarterly fundraising deadline -- the last big one before November. The story the numbers tell will surely become the dominant media narrative going into the final stretch of this election season.

And though the pundits will be paying attention -- their opinion isn't what guides this movement.

Because those who set the national tone don't hear the one-on-one conversations we're all having with voters around the country. They're not with us during the hours we spend making phone calls and knocking on doors.

This is the work your donations help fuel. Your support gets organizers on the ground, ads on the air, and voters to the polls.

Good fundraising numbers generate good news coverage -- but more importantly, they help make sure that we keep our efforts rolling in districts around the country.

And the very best way we can beat Republicans -- in the press, on the ground, and at the ballot box -- is to simply keep blowing them out of the water.

Can you pitch in $3 before midnight tonight?

Our movement has always been about the cumulative strength of individual grassroots donations.

Not lump sum payments from lobbyists or big special interests trying to further their own agendas. Not massive checks cut from super PACs, empowered by newly lax restrictions on corporate spending in elections.

Republicans, armed with this kind of cash, are hoping to hijack the dialogue this fall. They're looking for a repeat of the past, where elections like this served as negative referendums on the party in power. They're turning up the volume on turning back the clock.

Let's remind them that this is not one of those past election years.

This is 2010 -- a year that Democrats passed historic health insurance reform, put in place the strongest consumer protections ever proposed, and enacted legislation that provides tax cuts and expanded credit for small businesses. It's a year that we've spent going to work for the American people while Republicans have done everything they could to block our progress.

And it's a year that presents us with the opportunity to continue making change that matters.

By donating $3 today, you can provide the momentum we need going into the final month of this election season.

Please donate today:
