I encourage all people to read the proposed legislation immediately and then contact your Congressperson(s) and inform them of how you feel - whether you are for or against the legislation as soon as possible.

You are going to need the Senate Legislation if you want to understand what you are reading in the House Legislation. I am studying the House Legislation now and have both copies open for comparison. The House legislation will NOT make sense to you unless you have a copy of the Senate Legislation. The references made in the House Legislation are directly to the Senate Bill, so you need them both to fully comprehend what is being stated.
I will be studying this all day and into the evening and will post my personal breakdown of thoughts later this evening. (much later..) LOL..lots of back and forth comparing to do!
Please take the time, friends and readers! This affects all of us and we should all be properly informed! It is really not that complicated to read - just time consuming!

I have made it through my first read through of the House Bill/Amendment. I can honestly state that I am for the passage of this legislation. I am going to continue to study the legislation in detail but I can't seem to find much to argue about. There is much more to be pleased about all the way around, than there is to find to complain about, in my honest opinion.

I am currently writing up an easy to understand comparison/description that details the links between the House and Senate Proposed Reconciliation Legislation - so that those who do not understand or do not have the time to jump from document to document can understand what it is that is being stated, changed and/or attempted to be amended.
I understand that it appears to be confusing with all of the references to the Senate Bill, however since I have studied this legislation at length and I am very familiar with it, I find that I understand what the House Amendments are referring to quite easily. (I am a research junkie - always have been, and my favorite hang-out has always been the LOC and Thomas, yep - I'm a research dork!) :)
I should have this completed by 6am (PST) and posted as a new article in the morning. I hope this helps to complement the Legislation I have posted in the above article and makes it easier for you to page through both Bills and understand what you are reading more thoroughly.
See you in about 12 hours with detailed, yet basic and easy to understand (I hope) information!

I wanted to take a moment to thank you directly for the outstanding work you've been doing as part of Organizing for America's Final March for Reform. I can tell you that your voice is heard in Washington every day. I see how your efforts are moving us toward victory.
But I also know that with just days remaining, the final vote is shaping up to be extremely close. Everything we've worked for is on the line, and your voice is needed now more than ever before.
Raise your voice today: We must all speak out together to finish the job.
In these final, crucial days, much more will be asked of us. Our resolve will be tested.
During moments like this, I believe it's important to remember why we have worked so hard for so long. That's why I spoke to the country Monday at a gathering in Ohio and said it plainly: I'm here for Natoma.
Natoma Canfield is like most of us: She works hard, and tries to do what's right. Years ago, she had battled back from cancer, so she always maintained health insurance in case she ever really needed it again. But because of her medical history, the insurance company kept raising her deductible and her premiums.
Last year alone, Natoma paid over $10,000 in monthly premiums and co-pays, while her insurance company chipped in just $900. And then they hiked up her rates another 40%. She simply couldn't afford it -- she had to cancel her policy. That's when she wrote to me. I read her letter, and shared her story with insurance company CEOs as another reason why the system has to change.
That was two weeks ago. Then, just last week, the unthinkable happened: Natoma collapsed, and was rushed to a hospital. It's leukemia -- the cancer has returned. Now she's in the hospital, worried sick not just about her condition, but how she'll financially survive.
So why am I still in this fight? Simple. I'm here for Natoma.
I'm here because of the countless others who have been denied coverage because of pre-existing conditions. I'm here for the small business owners forced to chose between health care and hiring. I'm here for the folks who are forced to watch helplessly as their premiums skyrocket with no reason or recourse.
And I'm here for my mother. She died of cancer, and in the last six months of her life, I saw her on the phone in her hospital room arguing with insurance companies instead of focusing on getting well and spending time with her family.
As I was finishing my remarks Monday, a woman in the crowd called out, "we need courage." She's right.
The politicians in Washington need courage to face down the powerful interests who have held back progress for far too long. And all of us who share this cause need courage to speak up with persistence and clarity in these final days.
I've always found that courage comes from remembering that we fight for something and someone beyond ourselves. It comes from our faith. And it comes from our commitment to those we love.
So please take a moment to remember those who inspire you -- those who give you the strength to march on.
There's very little time left, and still much to do. But I believe to my core in the power of Americans to change history when we put our mind to it. And if you'll stay with us in these final days, I know we can do it again:

I wanted to take a moment to thank you directly for the outstanding work you've been doing as part of Organizing for America's Final March for Reform. I can tell you that your voice is heard in Washington every day. I see how your efforts are moving us toward victory.
But I also know that with just days remaining, the final vote is shaping up to be extremely close. Everything we've worked for is on the line, and your voice is needed now more than ever before.
Raise your voice today: We must all speak out together to finish the job.
In these final, crucial days, much more will be asked of us. Our resolve will be tested.
During moments like this, I believe it's important to remember why we have worked so hard for so long. That's why I spoke to the country Monday at a gathering in Ohio and said it plainly: I'm here for Natoma.
Natoma Canfield is like most of us: She works hard, and tries to do what's right. Years ago, she had battled back from cancer, so she always maintained health insurance in case she ever really needed it again. But because of her medical history, the insurance company kept raising her deductible and her premiums.
Last year alone, Natoma paid over $10,000 in monthly premiums and co-pays, while her insurance company chipped in just $900. And then they hiked up her rates another 40%. She simply couldn't afford it -- she had to cancel her policy. That's when she wrote to me. I read her letter, and shared her story with insurance company CEOs as another reason why the system has to change.
That was two weeks ago. Then, just last week, the unthinkable happened: Natoma collapsed, and was rushed to a hospital. It's leukemia -- the cancer has returned. Now she's in the hospital, worried sick not just about her condition, but how she'll financially survive.
So why am I still in this fight? Simple. I'm here for Natoma.
I'm here because of the countless others who have been denied coverage because of pre-existing conditions. I'm here for the small business owners forced to chose between health care and hiring. I'm here for the folks who are forced to watch helplessly as their premiums skyrocket with no reason or recourse.
And I'm here for my mother. She died of cancer, and in the last six months of her life, I saw her on the phone in her hospital room arguing with insurance companies instead of focusing on getting well and spending time with her family.
As I was finishing my remarks Monday, a woman in the crowd called out, "we need courage." She's right.
The politicians in Washington need courage to face down the powerful interests who have held back progress for far too long. And all of us who share this cause need courage to speak up with persistence and clarity in these final days.
I've always found that courage comes from remembering that we fight for something and someone beyond ourselves. It comes from our faith. And it comes from our commitment to those we love.
So please take a moment to remember those who inspire you -- those who give you the strength to march on.
There's very little time left, and still much to do. But I believe to my core in the power of Americans to change history when we put our mind to it. And if you'll stay with us in these final days, I know we can do it again:

Having spent three weeks in a hospital in Naples, Florida with my wife I couldn't help noticing what was going on in the hospital and I had a lot of time to talk to the doctors and nurses about what I had observed. Below is a commentary from an ER Doctor. Do you think this might be a big reason our health care system and our social security system are so screwed up? Do you think this might be a big reason our taxes keep going up? Who do you think these people are going to vote for? From a Florida ER doctor:"I live and work in a state overrun with illegals. They make more money having kids than we earn working full-time. Today I had a 25-year old with 8 kids - that's right 8; all illegal anchor babies and she had the nicest nails, cell phone, hand bag, clothing, etc. She makes about $1,500 monthly for each; you do the math. I used to say, We are the dumbest nation on earth. Now I must say and sadly admit: We ARE the dumbest people on earth (that includes ME) for we elected the idiot ideologues who have passed the bills that allow this. Sorry, but we need a revolution. If we don't back our elected President and nothing gets done it won't be his failure. The failure will be Our failure for not backing our President and guess who's going to pay for that? we listen to the fear mongers tell us this is a socialist job killing bill; when all it does it makes health care insurance more affordable. it mandates a minimum of coverage; let's you buy heath care insurance across state lines of course the insurance lobby don't like that idea there a monoply and they don't like the fact that you will be covered if you have a preexisting condition and can't find an insurance company that will write you a policy. Ive seen it with my own eyes; just because you walk into a emergency room doesn't mean that you will be treated they may let you rest on there emergency room beds but other then that forget it. i have seen it happen more then once; and you can take what i say with a grain of salt if you want to the choice is always yours; but the cost of health care insurance and seeing a doctor will always raise; in an out of control free market with no restraints. call your senator and congressman tell them i'm for heath insurance reform

If we don't back our elected President and nothing gets done it won't be his failure. The failure will be Our failure for not backing our President and guess who's going to pay for that? we listen to the fear mongers tell us this is a socialist job killing bill; when all it does it makes health care insurance more affordable. it mandates a minimum of coverage; let's you buy heath care insurance across state lines of course the insurance lobby don't like that idea there a monoply and they don't like the fact that you will be covered if you have a preexisting condition and can't find an insurance company that will write you a policy. Ive seen it with my own eyes; just because you walk into a emergency room doesn't mean that you will be treated they may let you rest on there emergency room beds but other then that forget it. i have seen it happen more then once; and you can take what i say with a grain of salt if you want to the choice is always yours; but the cost of health care insurance and seeing a doctor will always raise; in an out of control free market with no restraints. call your senator and congressman tell them i'm for heath insurance reform

A Piece of Motivation To Congress

Our Congressional Members work for 'US'; we hire and fire them with our votes. Let's say that we hear complaints about "too much reading" in a bill or the criticism that "the Health Care Bill is too long"; "nobody" reads all of it, or the continuance of "folding arms".
Reading and understanding what you cast your vote for or against should "always be in the interests" of our nation..not the lobbyist and their goodies to your front door. No, I am not going to assume "your" integrity or deny a conflict of interests.
What I am going to do is suggest, that if our Congressional Members refuse to act in an already emergency situation experienced by Americans who don't have health care is, that all Congressional members "forfeit" their health Care plans, retirement plans and any or all monies given to them by American Tax Payers; as payment for Americans without health care! Sounds absurd? All dreams begin with an idea. My spouse gains a health care plan as part of his salary, I don't have a pension or additional monies. My point is The Recession we are in is due to the last set of Jokers who partied like it was 1999..guess what?...we passed 1999 , what we didn't know does hurt us and what has occurred is against the American people..the threats..the diversions..the manipulations has got to come to an end and NOW. You were voted in to represent all Americans in your state..not a selected few..so do your jobs as Americans and stop playing with our lives..we deserve better than that from you. We deserve your integrity..your honor and your intelligence; we deserve your BEST. I am not in support of abortion nor do I believe that "language" should be the last deterrent for a National Health Care Plan; with Option. Our President has given us the opportunity to work it out among our representatives; it could very easily be a Presidential Order in response to the needs of three million Americans [a national disaster]. Please do what you are voted in to do..respond to the needs of all Americans. Folding your arms may have cost you your next election already; for that is what will be remembered...stubbornness in response to the needs of all Americans.

My point is The Recession we are in is due to the last set of Jokers who partied like it was 1999..guess what?...we passed 1999 , what we didn't know does hurt us and what has occurred is against the American people..the threats..the diversions..the manipulations has got to come to an end and NOW. You were voted in to represent all Americans in your state..not a selected few..so do your jobs as Americans and stop playing with our lives..we deserve better than that from you. We deserve your integrity..your honor and your intelligence; we deserve your BEST. I am not in support of abortion nor do I believe that "language" should be the last deterrent for a National Health Care Plan; with Option. Our President has given us the opportunity to work it out among our representatives; it could very easily be a Presidential Order in response to the needs of three million Americans [a national disaster]. Please do what you are voted in to do..respond to the needs of all Americans. Folding your arms may have cost you your next election already; for that is what will be remembered...stubbornness in response to the needs of all Americans.
