Edit Report I am still in favor of term limits for congress because they shouldn't make a career out of governing and some of the wack jobs doing it don't make me feel any better about it.you do remember the crisis on Wall Street just as president Obama took office right; now inagen what would have happened if your social securitywould have been tied to that! There talking about privateizing social sercurity giving it to Wall Street the same bunch that we had to bail out less then 2 years ago and the same party that wrote the laws that gave Wall Street the go ahead in merging investment banking and main street banking together so they were to big to fail and we had to bail them out so have the whole system wouldn't fall around our heads. is that phyically responible i ask you? And how much will they give you in kick backs for the robbery of the Aveage American; if you got away with doing that. thankfully Our president has said that he wouldn't let them do that to us; But a president only has a maxium of 8 years in office and Congress and the Senate can be elected for the rest of there lives. and when you vote them out they will still get a pention at our expence of course. Thats why we need people like Tarryl Clark and Bill WhiteBill White in office some one who uses there heads as more then a hat rack; Some one who will look out for the interest of the common man not just the corperations; And i urge you to demand term limits on Congress; and i urge you to ask the ones you will be voting for in November if they support privatizing social security; if they do ask them if they can garentee that IWILL HAVE MY SOCIAL SECURITY WHEN I RETIRE.if they can't do that Don't vote for them. There has to be a better way;taxing and spending or borrowing and spending won't work and giveing Our retirement money to a bunch of crooks either in office or Wall Street won't work either So you Republicans need to have a better plan. or do all of us Americans a favor get out of the way so we can get the job done and done right for a change. i'm not talking to all of you just the cazy ones that scream death panels and don't wanta govern any thing but there pay checks and deregulate every thing so you won't have to look over there shoulders to see if there swindling people that voted you into office .For shame all you corperate whores wether your a republican or a democrat we deserve better then you will ever be.

Full ViewTemper tantrum
From: Tim Kaine Add to Contacts
To: arnold schwertman

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

arnold --

Last month, Republican Senate candidate Joe Miller said that Republicans must have the "courage to shut down the government." Republican Congressman Steve King recently demanded a "blood oath" from House Minority Leader John Boehner to ensure the full repeal of health care reform -- even if it means shutting the government down.

And former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, mastermind of the disastrous government shutdowns of the 1990s, has been crowing about a potential shutdown for months.

For Republicans, what once seemed radical is now wholly in the mainstream.

Even worse, they are pulling in huge donations from special interests who are comfortable with a shutdown that hurts the American people -- so long as it gets them what they want.

We won't stand by and watch this happen -- and that's why we're growing the By the People Fund.

Grassroots Democrats have given 2.9 million donations to show that our voices won't be drowned out by special-interest donations to fuel a special-interests agenda. Now we need to keep up the pace to reach our goal of 3 million individual donations -- we need 20,000 contributors this week to hit the mark.

Can you donate $5 to help us keep growing the By the People Fund today?

All around the country this fall, Republicans are trying to convince voters to hire them for a job. But they keep saying that one of the first items on their agenda would be to go on strike.

A government shutdown would cut off the programs, benefits, and services relied upon by millions of seniors, veterans, and families around the country. Veterans' hospitals would be closed; Social Security checks would not go out.

This is the political equivalent of a temper tantrum -- and it hurts those who need help the most.

With just more than 40 days until the election, it's time for us to step up.

We've got organizers on the ground in all 50 states, and we're doubling down on efforts to register new voters and turn out the supporters who've helped us win all across the country.

The meaningful changes we've fought for and won have always been built on the energy and support of people like you.

So if you've been wondering when might be the best time to pitch in where you're able, the time is now. And if you're sick and tired of the notion that simply because Republicans are yelling louder, we are willing to go quietly -- then it's time for you to raise your voice.

I know that we can win this fall -- but it's going to take all of us.

Please donate $5 or more to the By the People Fund today:

Full ViewVideo: The President's message for you
From: "Mitch Stewart, BarackObama.com" View Contact
To: Arnold schwertman

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Arnold --

We're six weeks out from the November 2nd elections -- and the President is fired up.

Last night he recorded this video message for OFA supporters:

Thousands of you have already answered the President's call to donate, volunteer, and commit to vote -- but it's going to take all of us to stay aggressive over the next six weeks.

And, as the President said, the stakes this year are incredibly high.

Corporate interests are spending millions to make sure their Republican allies take control in the House and Senate -- and their vision for America could not be further from ours.

Whether it's health insurance reform, Wall Street reform, civil rights, or Social Security, Republicans are promising to repeal our historic victories, and then take us back to policies that favor corporate interests over middle-class families, and profits over people.

But this election belongs to us -- not special interests. And we've proved them wrong before.

We did it by volunteering, chipping in what we could, and talking to more voters than any campaign in history. We have to do it again this year.

The President is taking this message across the country, but he can't do it alone. Let's show him he has our support.

Watch the video:

http://my.barackobama.com/SixWeeks

Thanks for all you do,

Mitch

arnold,

We're closing in on Rick PerryRick Perry. The proof is in the latest polls.

Perry's lead in the race has shrunk to just a few percentage points. The millions of undecided voters who know Perry but don't support him are going to swing this election and elect Bill White as our next governor.

This change in the race is making Perry's handlers desperate.

Last week, Perry's campaign launched a barrage of TV ads. One ad was deemed "a serious distortion of the facts" by the Dallas Morning News, and the independent fact checking website PolitiFact called a claim in one of the other ads "false."

It's clear that with the race tightening, Perry's false, negative attacks will only intensify. That's why we need your help.

Please contribute $5 toward our 5,000-donation grassroots fundraising goal to fight back and keep our momentum going strong.

Texans are embracing Bill White's mainstream values and record of public service, and want to move our state forward. According to one of the recent polls, only 37% think Perry deserves reelection.

These numbers show that millions of Texans are looking for an alternative to Perry. With so many undecided voters, we must fund additional efforts to spread the word about who Bill is and the leadership he will bring to Austin.

Please help us reach out to every undecided voter in Texas -- contribute $5 toward our 5,000-donation grassroots fundraising goal today.

The only poll that really matters is the one that takes place 43 days from now on Election Day. Thank you for getting us this far and for your continued support.

Sincerely,

Michael J. Moore

Campaign Manager

arnold,

We're closing in on Rick Perry.

PRESIDENT BILL CLINTON

Dear Arnold,
To renew the American promise and make our government actually work for people, especially during these difficult times, we need the best public servants to step forward and lead.
That's why I support Minnesota State Senator Tarryl Clark for Congress, and hope you will, too.
Tarryl is running against Congresswoman Michele BachmannMichele Bachmann in Minnesota's 6th Congressional District. The people of the 6th District deserve a leader who will deliver results instead of divisive partisan rhetoric; who will roll up her sleeves and get to work on the critical issues instead of just getting people wound up about them.
Tarryl Clark is the leader Minnesota's 6th District needs in Congress.
This race is a truly unique opportunity to change Washington for the better.
It will mean a lot to families - in Minnesota and across America -- to have Tarryl Clark working in Congress for the causes that matter to all of us.
As a State Senator, Tarryl has been a voice for common sense, and for the kind of positive change we still so desperately need. She's worked to create jobs and help small businesses expand. She has led efforts to protect senior citizens, to bolster early childhood education, and to invest in critical infrastructure projects. She's worked to make college affordable and health care accessible. She's been a leader on veterans' issues, particularly in helping veterans returning from combat duty transition into to civilian life.
From her accomplishments representing Central Minnesota in the State Senate, to her leadership in heading organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and the Community Action Partnership, Tarryl Clark has dedicated her life to making Minnesota better. And she's delivered results.
Tarryl is a friend and ally we can count on, who will make a real difference for Minnesota's families in Congress.
But first, she needs our help to win this election.
Join me by making a secure online contribution of $25, $50, $100 or more to Tarryl Clark's campaign today.
I'm proud to support Tarryl Clark, and I hope I can count on you to do the same.
Personally,
Bill Clinton
p.s. Tarryl is running a campaign in the Minnesota tradition: with a vast coalition of grassroots supporters, energetic volunteers, and a commitment to common sense values that Minnesotans expect from their leaders. That's how she's going to win. But to do it, she needs your support today. Please join me by making a contribution now.

Bill White for Texas

Sun, September 19, 2010 4:42:22 PMBill White receives Houston Chronicle endorsement
From: "Michael J. Moore, Bill White for Texas" Add to Contacts
To: arnold schwertyman

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear arnold,
Bill White was endorsed by the Houston Chronicle today, which is the first major newspaper endorsement of the general election.

Please distribute the endorsement attached at the bottom of this email to everyone you know.

The Chronicle wrote, "Texas can't afford four more years of Perry's leadership," noting the "unprecedented budget deficit estimated at $21 billion," and continued, "As he did in Houston, White can bring innovative financial solutions, a passion for environmental protection, and a strong bipartisan and ethical commitment to a governor's office tarnished by charges of cronyism, partisanship and catering to contributors at the expense of constituents."

The Chronicle concluded, "We've watched Bill White run the mayor's office, appointing both Democrats and Republicans and building bridges across ethnic and ideological divides. We believe he'll do the same at the state capitol, and we urge Texans to give him that opportunity."

Our momentum is growing across the state and we are on track to win in November.

Thank you for your support,

Michael J. Moore
Campaign Manager
Bill White for Texas

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Time for a change
The Chronicle endorses former Houston Mayor Bill White for governor of Texas.
HOUSTON CHRONICLE
Sunday, September 18, 2010
Texas faces an unprecedented budget deficit estimated at $21 billion, faltering health care and public education systems, and demands for new energy sources and transportation funding. For nearly a decade, Rick Perry -- the longest-serving governor in Lone Star history -- has been at the helm of an increasingly wayward ship.

Texas can't afford four more years of Perry's leadership.

The governor has shown a distaste for dealing with budget details, fobbing them off on the Legislature and even suggesting in a recent news conference that Comptroller Susan Combs had better uses of her time than issuing deficit projections.

Fortunately, voters have the opportunity to replace Republican Perry with former Houston Mayor Bill White, a Democrat with credentials as a successful lawyer, corporate CEO and public servant who demonstrated his management capabilities and hard-work ethic during a six-year tenure at City Hall.

As he did in Houston, White can bring innovative financial solutions, a passion for environmental protection, and a strong bipartisan and ethical commitment to a governor's office tarnished by charges of cronyism, partisanship and catering to contributors at the expense of constituents. "Today our state is being run like a political machine to perpetuate Rick Perry in office," said White during his screening with the Chronicle editorial board. Gov. Perry has declined to meet with Texas newspaper editorial boards.

"People want a governor who can bring people together to get things done," White continued. "Leadership is not dividing the state into red teams and blue teams, playing people off against each other. Leadership is not having citizens and journalists have to pry information out of the government when it's funded by the taxpayers."

...

We've watched Bill White run the mayor's office, appointing both Democrats and Republicans and building bridges across ethnic and ideological divides. We believe he'll do the same at the state capitol, and we urge Texans to give him that opportunity.

Click here to read the rest of the endorsement by the Houston Chronicle.
